Most SEO guides ask you to read pages of theory before touching anything. This one does the opposite. It is seven practical steps you can do today, no expertise needed and no one to hire. Work through them one at a time, not all at once.
1. Fix your page titles
The title shown in search results is the first thing people see. Give every page a unique title that says what it is about, around 50 to 60 characters. A page without a clear title is like a shop with no sign.
2. Write a meta description that earns clicks
The meta description is the two lines under the title. Google uses it as a snippet. Write an honest sentence that explains the page and why someone should click, around 120 to 155 characters.
3. Make sure the site uses HTTPS
If your address still starts with http and no s, the browser flags it as not secure and Google likes it less. An HTTPS certificate is usually free from your host now, so there is no reason to wait.
4. Speed up pages on mobile
Most visitors come from phones. Compress large images, avoid loading too many scripts, and skip heavy fonts. A slow page makes people leave before they see anything.
5. Tidy your heading structure
One H1 per page stating the main topic, then H2 headings for sub-sections. A tidy structure helps readers and search engines understand the page.
6. Add internal links
Link your pages to each other with text that describes the destination, not the words click here. This helps visitors find other pages and spreads value between them.
7. Check, fix, check again
Once the above is done, run a check to see what you missed, then check again after fixing. You can start at SEO Fixindo and run a free audit right away.

- For a small site, a few hours covers the first pass. The rest is monitoring and refining over time.
